Now That Spring Is In The Air...

It's spring again in Irbid! These pictures were taken back then in 2004, during the semester break. Anyway, those pictures of Golan Heights were taken secretly -.-'' We were warned earlier against taking any pictures in the area, but it couldn't be helped =p The view was so spectacular...

Friends

Friends are very special people who accept each other with unconditional caring. They recognise each other's talents and faults, and acknowledge them without judgment.

They are incapable of turning away when times are tough and life's problems seem hard to bear. Instead, they encourage each other so they can enjoy the good times and find strength to endure the bad times.

They're never afraid to say what they feel and can be honest without causing hurt or pain. They can depend on each other, because they have the kind of trust that allows them to share the best and worst of their lives with laughter and without fear.

You are one of those special people, and I'm glad you are my friend.

Sand and Stone

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some
point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other
one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying
anything, wrote in the sand:

"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a
bath. The one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire and started
drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near
drowning, he wrote on a stone:

"TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him,

"After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied:

"When someone hurts us we should write it down in sand where winds of
forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us,
we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."
